July 23, 1982, while on set filming the movie The Twilight Zone, Vic Morrow and two child actors where killed by the rotor blade of a helicopter as it crashed. The accident was caused by the pyrotechnics launching hot material into the rotor blades causing them to foul and the pilot to loose control. All three actors where killed instantly. The pil
