Men or Madagascar Penguins? It’s a simple question with a shockingly complicated answer, according to TikTok’s latest viral theory.

TikTok creator @falldamagekatherine shared a polarizing new theory, one explaining the unbearable likeness all groups of men possess to the Penguins from the Madagascar franchise.

“If you find a group of straight men who are friends and are talking to each other, without fail they will sound like the penguins of Madagascar,” she explained in her video, which has amassed more than 2.2 million likes in its first few days on the site.

“I’m not wrong,” she continued, promising viewers that if they simply “listen” they will “hear it next time” they pass a group of men talking in the wild. “Close your eyes. I see penguins.”

Despite the boldness of her premise, @falldamagekatherine may have been onto something, with several of the clip’s commenters backing up her theory.

“They always say something like ‘Alright boys, here's the plan,’” observed @lopsidedmirage42.

“How dare you put this in my brain! I was already struggling to take my husband's friend group seriously,” joked @kianamexicana, while DreamWorks animation also sounded off on this theory.

“I think she’s on to something, Skipper,” the film company’s official page wrote under @falldamagekatherine’s viral clip.

So, fellas, take it from the penguins themselves – we’re onto you so you might as well “smile and wave, boys, smile and wave…"
