Though DoorDash drivers are typically supposed to drop off your food and leave — sometimes stopping to take some of the most awkward photos in the history of photography — one dasher had a different idea, nearly catnapping a customer's kitten.

On Sunday, cat owner @odwxn headed to Twitter with a glimpse at a recent delivery gone wrong, showing the moment he truly thought his DoorDash delivery driver was about to run away with his beloved cat, Milo.

“MY CAT GOT STOLEN BY MY DOORDASH DRIVER!!??!,” he captioned the now-viral Ring camera footage, a clip depicting the driver picking Milo up from their front stoop, taking a snap of the food and walking away, the kitten still in his clutch.

Naturally, Twitter had a field day with the concept of DoorDash drivers doubling as pet thieves flocking to @odwxn’s post to share their questions, comments and concerns.

“Man said ‘I’m leaving here with something,’” wrote @habituallybee. “Absolutely shameful. I hope they got their cat back safely.”

“Tbh ik a lot of people who's cat like to be outside and come home whenever,” added @nykbj amid worries about why @odwxn let their cat outside.

Yet amid the alarm, @odwxn hopped in to clarify that Milo managed to make it home safe and sound.

“Omg yall… Milo was not catnapped by the driver,” he wrote alongside a snap of the cat. “HES OKAY he just went on an adventure rq.”

And who can blame him: In this economy, it seems even cats need jobs, too.
