Remember when your good Christian mother would make a fuss about the ‘obscene’ rap music you’d listen to back in the day? More often than not over an Eminem track laden with strings of expletives and an incredibly catchy hook? Those were the days.

It’s been a while since Marshall Mathers took the spotlight, but guess who’s back? Shady’s back. And this time, the Real Slim Shady didn’t stand up. He knelt, in prayer.

Eminem has redirected his most recent efforts to preach the word of our Lord and Savior in a gospel ballad alongside the purveyor of ‘major keys,’ DJ Khaled, and the devout Yeezus himself (though you may know him as Kanye). Together, the trio managed to place number 1 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart with their remix of Kanye’s “Use this Gospel,” originally featured on his 2019 album “Jesus is King.”

A little-known fact: Eminem actually used to pray before his shows, according to Rapzilla. In retrospect, it was only a matter of time, then, before the Holy Spirit influenced his white-hot bars. After a career of turning heads and shocking audiences with his incredibly explicit lyrics, it’s a refreshing switch-up to hear the Rap God actually rap about God.
