This summer, remember to be careful with fireworks. Some safety tips include making sure all fireworks are pointed away from your face, setting fireworks off at a reasonable distance and, if you’ve got the luck of this family, maybe not setting them off in the first place.
According to Today, a family in Nebraska decided to celebrate Independence Day the American way: by lighting a bunch of shit on fire. Unfortunately, one of the fireworks they bought was defective, so instead of up, it went sideways — and then, everywhere.

“It caused another box of fireworks to ignite, and when the rest of the fireworks ignited they shot to the left and the right. And the rest is kind of history," the homeowners told Today.
After the fire had somewhat subsided, the family got the garden hose and managed to put out the rest of the blaze. Thankfully, no one was injured — and while it looked like the car was destroyed in the blast, it actually works just fine, the family claims.
In their interview, they say that they still plan on celebrating the Fourth of July in the coming years, only with fewer fireworks. Yeah, that makes sense.

This just goes from bad to worse.
For kids, martial arts is a rite of passage. They go from watching their favorite action stars on screen to living out their fantasies in dojos and gyms.
However, that doesn't mean all martial arts classes, or teachers, are created equally. During a martial arts presentation in what appears to be India, one boy caught himself and his gym on fire after trying to break pieces of wood with his hand set on fire. And you can probably assume, it did not go well.

There is no need for any of this. The fire was clearly a mistake on the part of the poor kid's instructor and by the looks of this demo, he needs to find a new teacher, oh, and a hospital.
