Behind nearly every sound you hear at the theater is a foley artist who has harnessed the power of hot dogs and other inanimate objects to simulate the real world.
Stefan Fraticelli is one of the most well-known foley artists in Hollywood, with major work being featured in Power Rangers, 50 Shades of Black, and Dwayne Johnson's breakout hit, Snitch.
Like others in his field, he's willing to use whatever it takes to create a sound he's looking for. Bones breaking? Time to buy a bag of dry pasta. How about a fairy flying around? Easy, all you need is a guitar pick and a spinning bicycle wheel. Put simply, he's the MacGyver of sound effects.
