Fantasies of getting revenge on an ex or catching a cheater in the act are a dime a dozen — movies like John Tucker Must Die are proof of that. Typically, that’s all they are, though: fantasies. Unless, of course, you’re particularly enterprising, like one TikToker who managed to catch her boyfriend of two years trying to cheat by using her best friend as bait.

Angelina Rivero shared a video to TikTok of her hiding in the back of her best friend’s car as her boyfriend hops in and starts chatting her friend up. Eventually, Angelina pops up and reveals herself. He — surprise, surprise — immediately starts calling her crazy. Angelina can then be heard saying, “This is so crazy, right? Cheating on me, right? That’s so f–king crazy, right?” as her now ex-boyfriend attempts to cover his face and hide from the camera.

Angelina followed up that video with a story time where she provided context and more information about the drama. She explains that their problems started when her boyfriend’s friend was visiting — she and the friend didn’t get along, and the friend had his own history of cheating on his girlfriends. Her boyfriend didn’t speak to her at all while the friend was in town, and this set off her intuition. Angelina’s best friend then came up with the idea to set the boyfriend up. A separate friend started messaging the boyfriend on Instagram, and after messaging her for less than 10 hours, he agreed to meet up, and what followed were the events we saw in the previous video.
Angelina also explained that all of this happened back in March, but her friends told her to wait to post the video until her ex-boyfriend’s birthday for maximum impact. Oof. She ended her video by offering to help anyone in New Jersey set up their own boyfriends, so watch this space: We could be witnessing the beginning of a fascinating new phenomenon.
