The listing describes it as a “handyman special,” a mysterious turn of phrase that makes little sense until you see photos of the listing, which feature a house in need of a fair amount of repair — this is where the handyman would come in handy, presumably. There’s also an alarming amount of “black stuff” all over the floors, which is probably excessive mold per a note posted on the house, and a massive pile of junk that occupies an entire room.


For just $759,000CAD, or $553,656USD, this palace could be yours. Alternatively, you could spend €499,000, or $553,656USD, and buy a castle in La Charité-sur-Loire, a town on the eastern bank of the Loire river.
