Chef Boyardee was poppin' in the '90s, but if you still have any cans left over from then you definitely shouldn't pop one open.
A guy who runs a pop culture blog recently shared photos of himself opening a can of Spider-Man themed Chef Boyardee pasta dated to 1995. On the outside, the 25 year-old can was already corroded and dotted with greasy stains.
When he opened it, the insides had shrunk into a hard, brown, rusty mass more akin to fossils than food.
Unfortunately, the guy wasn't brave enough to do a taste test, so you'll just have to imagine how scrumptious this would have tasted after a few minutes on the stovetop.
Some of the Spider-Man shaped pieces of pasta retained their form during their time in a forgotten cabinet, suggesting that the Amazing Spider-Man may be even more amazing than previously thought.
Not surprisingly, this isn't the first time this man has excavated really old novelty canned foods.
I see "Donatello" is trending, so what the hey, here's what TMNT Pasta looks like after sitting in a can for 30 years. pic.twitter.com/zk330ysJZZ
