Woo-hoo!

Growing up, people made a pretty big deal of the famous “ball drop” for New Year’s in New York.

Now, while the ball drop is still around, most people have realized that staying up to watch a metal ball go slightly down in one of the world’s smelliest cities might not be the best way to spend their time — and so, they’re turning their New Year’s festivities to other venues.

One of these venues includes the “deaths from smoking this year” billboard. Instead of peeing their pants waiting for the confetti cannons in Times Square, these people waited outside the billboard for the numbers to roll over — and celebrated the eventual turn back to zero with drinks and, why not, a few cigarettes.

So many people came back to life
