On August 8, 2004, the Dave Matthews Band went where no other rock group had before, dousing an entire Chicago architecture tour boat 800 pounds of pure sewage from their tour bus.

In honor of the human waste accident’s bronze anniversary, Depths of Wikipedia curator Annie Rauwerda opted to celebrate in style — covering herself in as much “sewage” as she could possibly find.

“Since Tuesday is the 19-year anniversary, I’m gonna be doing the Dave Matthews Band Chicago River Challenge,” she commenced the clip, the groups 1996 hit, “Crash Into Me” playing in the background.

After dumping a bowl of murky water — one that resembled mud more than the foul-smelling "brownish-yellow" liquid coating the 120 passengers aboard that fateful Chicago River cruise, per the Chicago Tribune — atop her head, Rauwerda decided to pay it forward, imploring the men behind the incident to get in on the commemorative fun.

“I nominate Dave Matthews,” she concluded her clip, a piece she aptly dubbed “one girl one bucket.”

Though the band has yet to respond to Rauwerda’s noble challenge, we can only hope they tackle it in stride. Who knows, maybe “Brown Street” could be their next big hit.
