No matter how unreal your fake laptop job may be, one primate-painted guy has got you beat.
Earlier this month, officials at Wuzhishan Scenic Area in China’s Hebei province headed to job boards with a listing for the ages, offering potential applicants the chance to play the fabled Monkey King.

Boasting an $842 monthly salary, the job requirements are simple: sit in a mountain, wear a monkey costume, say “hi” to some kids, eat a whole lot of bananas, and watch the cash pour in.
But don’t think your lack of a Juilliard BFA will keep you from nabbing this once in a lifetime role.
“There are no academic requirements,” a manager explained to state-run news outlet Shangyou News. ”The main requirements are having a passion for Sun Wukong, a certain talent for acting, and the ability to be lively, cheerful, approachable to interact with tourists.”
But hey, even if this gig doesn’t pan out not all is lost — anyone with this costume could always find work as our sleep paralysis demons.
