Shaukat Yousafzai, the regional Pakistani Minister recently found himself caught wrapped-up in the silliest of social media blunders in recent memory. During a press briefing streamed live on Facebook, Yousafzai and his aids were seen looking less than professional as one of their interns or techs accidentally turned on an AR cat filter.
The blunder was quickly noticed by people online who were able to have a pretty good laugh about the mistake. The original video was promptly removed from Facebook after the conference ended but as things are today, the evidence is here to stay.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party released this statement on the situation.
We're sure there is a lesson in here somewhere. That humans make mistakes, or that maybe tech people should be for familiar with the features of the platforms their using for government press briefings, but were fine if you just think it's funny.
