Wondering how to give your beer that special je ne sais quoi? The key to bountiful brews is apparently none other than a metric ton of piss, a secret ingredient evidenced after a factory worker was caught taking a wizz into a tub of ingredients.

In a clip that quickly shot to viral infamy on Chinese social media site Weibo last week, an employee at Tsingtao beer factory can be seen using a vat of malt as their own personal toilet, whipping out his dong and taking a piss.

Despite the old adage of “when you gotta go you gotta go,” the brewer – the second largest in China —  was not so understanding of the clip, announcing on Monday that they had contacted local authorities and that a full investigation was underway.

“The company places high importance on the media reports and has reported the matter to the public security authorities at the first opportunity,” they said of the incident, noting that they had pitched the piss-soaked malt. “The public security authorities are presently involved in the investigation.”

It’s truly a shame that the company decided to toss their ingredients: To paraphrase Redditor u/FruitFlavor12, it sounds like this dude had finally learned the secret recipe for Heineken.
