Anyone who has ever operated a vehicle knows that the worst thing about driving is other drivers, and a Toronto woman has provided us with the perfect example of a driver we’d rather not encounter on the roads.
My friend saw this at Bloor and Bedford today

Apparently the street was closed, the lady just drove into it and when the front wheel hit the cement it made a loud noise and ALL the construction worked yelled… and for some reason she kept going pic.twitter.com/PvAMoX4VQv
One Twitter user shared a photo that was sent to them by a friend in Toronto of a car that had driven directly into wet concrete on a closed-off street. According to blogTO, the incident took place at around 5:30 p.m. and involved a driver heading southbound down a closed part of Bedford Road, determined to get to where she was going, construction sites be damned.
The photo has a Renaissance-painting sorta vibe thanks to the construction workers in the background and their reactions: Several are looking on in horror, one’s recording the incident on his phone and another has thrown his arms wide as if to say, “What the hell are you doing?!” It’s beautiful.
Toronto drivers are something else… if it’s not streetcar tunnels it’s wet concrete, if not wet concrete it’s storefronts, if it’s not storefronts, it’s concrete barriers… the list never ends… pic.twitter.com/zButFHEuGx

According to eyewitnesses, the incident was most likely due to an error in judgment rather than a medical episode; the woman drove slowly before hitting the wet cement, at which point there was a loud noise and she just kept going, ignoring the shouts from the construction workers.
Naturally, she became stuck, and stayed in her car for some time afterwards. One witness told blogTO that she didn’t leave her vehicle while they were still there. In fact, legend says she’s still in her car on that closed down street to this day, haunting the intersection and serving as a reminder to all motorists of the dangers of ignoring giant “ROAD CLOSED” signs.
