Here I was thinking he was in the North Pole!
A lot of history happened in Turkey. One of those pieces of history was, apparently, the burial of Saint Nicholas, whom historians recently claimed actually looked a lot like the Santa we know and love today.

As you might realize from the name, Saint Nicholas was the main inspiration behind the character of Santa, and the people of Turkey are now claiming that, if you want to visit his burial site, you gotta head to Antalya.
Is it really the burial site of St. Nick? Well, the location lines up with what we think we know about his passing, but no one is 100 percent sure if this is our boy. I guess we’ll have to see if uncovering his tomb unleashed a spirit and all we get for Christmas is a haunting.
