The internet is full of people occupying incredibly different and varied niches, but even I’ve had my mind blown by how specific this man’s particular niche is. A TikToker who calls himself “Pickle Pete” travels around to different locations in the northeastern United States playing the bagpipes to determine if that spot is bagpipe-friendly, aka a “pipe zone,” or not. Oh, and he’s dressed like a pickle the entire time.
He’s played the bagpipes at Lowe’s (a pipe zone), the liquor store (also a pipe zone), CVS (surprisingly, yes, a pipe zone) and the Edge gym (not a pipe zone).

Astonishingly, the majority of businesses seem to be happy to let Pete play his bagpipes on their premises, even though bagpipes sound horrendous and, as many commenters have noted, are seemingly only capable of playing one song.

Pete doesn’t just play his pipes at commercial businesses, however; he’s also played the bagpipes for cows, who enjoy the pipes and even let Pete pat them afterward, and at a cranberry bog.
@picklepete112 I got KICKED OUT of IKEA for piping! #prank #pipezone #IKEA ♬ original sound - Pickle Pete
Occasionally, Pete will challenge himself to pipe for as long as possible without getting kicked out, doing so at IKEA, where he was able to pipe for several minutes, in several locations, without being asked to leave, with one employee going so far as to encourage him to continue playing. Eventually, Pete was asked to leave after piping his way through the entire store and making it to the cash registers, a particularly crowded area.
In response to one commenter asking if he ever gets nervous or embarrassed, Pete said, “Definitely a little bit before I go in and pipe, but usually everyone loves the pipes and it’s a lotta fun!”
Honestly, while bagpipes sound terrible, this is an incredibly wholesome bit, as bits go, and it’s genuinely sweet how supportive most people are of Pete’s piping. So if you live in New England, keep an eye out for a man dressed as a pickle playing the bagpipes at a store near you.
