Before you use products advertised only on television, you are unhappy, all of your clothing was purchased at a 1990's K-Mart store, and you are tremendously ugly. In fact, you are so ugly, that you have to shield half of your face from the public with a home made ski mask (see figure 1.1) You are also probably ten pounds overweight, at the least. After using them, however, your smile is brighter, your clothes are from Hollister (1.2), and you acne scars have vanished. You've also decided to purchase a new camera.
