A Woman Kept a McDonald's Meal for 6 Years and the Result Will Shock You
What happens to McDonald's chicken nuggets and fries after six years?
According to an Alaska woman, not much of anything...
Jennifer Lovdahl posted a photo on Facebook, claiming that she purchased this Happy Meal six years ago.
She included the receipt, dated Jan. 8, 2010.
The food apparently sat in the Anchorage chiropractor's office all this time, yet did not rot, decompose or produce any sort of stench.
Lovdahl argued that it's proof of how many chemicals the fast food chain adds to its food, joking that the box would decompose before the food.
"There are so many chemicals in this food! Choose real food! Apples, bananas, carrots, celery....those are real fast food," she wrote.
Why doesn’t your food rot?
Actually, it can. Food needs moisture in the air for mold to form. Without it, food will simply dry out – sort of like bread left out on a counter overnight to make croutons for stuffing.
You might have seen experiments which seem to show no decomposition in our food. Most likely, this is because the food has dehydrated before any visible deterioration could occur.
The box will decompose before the food does!
