Another reason why I don't want to get married.

On Saturday I reluctantly went to my cousin's wedding. It was ok, the ceremony was only 20 minutes long, and the reception was at the same venue. Convenient.
I played along and wore a dress (the first time in at least 8 years), and my boyfriend wore a suit that he borrowed off his dad (he's not one for dressing up either). It was open bar, so I had a few drinks, and had a much better time than I thought I was going to. I'll give you that.
But now the bf's pissed off. No, I didn't do anything stupid, under the influence... in fact it didn't really have much to do with wedding it's self... it's the pictures that were taken and uploaded to facebook afterwards. My bf is anti-facebook. He doesn't have an account (that must mean he doesn't exist - right?), and would probably like me more if I didn't have one either.
I've been on it a lot lately, trying to see if any of my family members uploaded pictures of either of us, to their profile. It's a daunting task to say the least. I don't even know the groom's family enough to see if they happened to post any. But, it seems, that pretty much everyone who went, took pictures, and uploaded them.
There were only a couple of me and the bf that I could find. Which is good, despite the bf being pissed. But then, I thought of something. If I were to get married, as the "happy couple" we would be the center of attention, and some 60-100 people would take pictures of us, and upload it to their facebooks. Everyone has the option to change their privacy settings, and decide who gets to see their pictures, but you can't change other people's privacy settings, so if they post pictures of you, there's really not much you can do about it and you have no way of knowing who see's them.
The bf and I definitely keep to ourselves in real life. Some people don't have a problem being the center of attention, or having their pictures online. But to this degree - it would be our worst nightmare. Just another reason to add to the long list of reasons not to have a traditional wedding.
