I'm An Asshole

A lot of people over the years have called me an asshole, some rightfully and others unjustly. When it comes from those close to me, I take note that I have faltered in some way. When it comes from the anonymous stranger, I laugh. I've come to find the word "asshole" to be an endearing barb, a substitute for what people really want to say; which is, "Damn, I want to be like that guy." Who could blame them, I do and say whatever I want no matter how offensive or absurd it may be and everyone around me loves me. I have it made; I have the social system beat.

Well guess what? Good for me. I have mastered the art of doing little work, having fun, and getting whatever I want even though the general consensus is that Im a total jerk. I have learned to work with the skills I was given and to manipulate them to their greatest potential.

Ponder this: If assholes are so despised, then why do women still want to be with them and men still want to be like them? Why do assholes get noticed in every public situation while other guys could run through a crowed bar with their pants on fire and not get a drink in the crotch from a good looking woman?

Simple: They dont stand out. Besides their pants being on fire, they are no different than any other face in a crowd. They are the nice guys whose names are forgeten five minutes after you walk away. While assholes like me, are never forgotten. This is how I get my way and get away with it.
