First, I would like to say that I am definitely not a racist although this blog could be construed by ignorant people as being racist.  I am a 26 year old white male who voted for Obama and I am very happy that he won the election and I will tell you why.  Ever since I was a kid I have been hearing people, both black and white, explain why their lives are fucked up and ruined because they were raised by a single mom or that they were treated differently because they were black in a white neighborhood or white in a black neighborhood and it has always bothered me. My mom was a single mom and had to work three jobs to put food on the table after my father died of cancer and life insurance refused to pay out because they had reason to believe that his cancer may have been preexisting before he bought his policy.  I grew up dirt poor having to take handout from neighbors and family and eating the free lunch at school.  I went to high school and got involved in drugs.  Junior year I turned my life around, graduated in the top 10% of my class and got a full scholarship to college and graduated with honors.  Now I am married with a house and a good job and I feel that I am quite successful.  People always bitch about how their lives are ruined by their childhood and their environment.  But with Obama there are no more excuses.  If you are black then people can tell you that Obama had the same hardships but was able to become the president of the United States and they have to just agree and realize that they are in control of their own lives and they are the only ones to blame for their shortcomings.  If a white person says the same thing you can tell them to grow a pair of balls because if a black kid from the slums can grow up and be president then they need to take responsibility for their actions.  Either way lazyness and excuses about upbringing and economic status are no longer valid.  People now have to stand the fuck up and take some fucking responsibility for their own damn actions.  Seriously people, shit or get off the pot....
