Plants have feelings too!

If anyone asked me what I like most about life, I would have to say "The fact that we haven't figured it all out yet". I like to view the human race as a species, because it's only recent that we as a whole, have been able to gain any real control over our environment. Even though we've spent centuries learning how to exempt ourselves from the laws of nature, we know that nature can take it all back in an instant. We can send people into space, but we can't predict earthquakes, stop tornados, and who hasn't bitched about the weatherman being wrong half the time?
Our egos are stroked by this notion of superiority, however we have faults, and limitations. This is why I was so intrigued when I watched a documentary called "In The Mind of Plants". All too often we look at plants like they're inanimate objects, but we're wrong. In the documentary you'll see what happens when man applies our definition of "intelligent life" to the plant world.
This documentary blurs the line we've drawn between animals and plants, making me realize we're not that different. Plants are aware of their surroundings, sleep, communicate, fight, and there's over 650 known carnivorous species.
I don't want to spoil it, so I invite you to take a look, and would love to discuss this further with anyone who watches. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeX6ST7rexs
