Pliny Kai the Second, occupated man
Pliny Kai the Second*, my uncle, was an occupated man. He performed many public tasks and wrote many taught books. Notable is Pliny's "Natural History", which is as varied as nature itself. He was never fatigued. Early morning, he started working; before dawn he went to Wasps-in-ass**. When back at home, he studied. After a small meal he went to a sunny place. Books were read, he annotated and excerpted. After sunning, he mostly took a bath. Then he ate and slept a little. Soon he studied yet again, while dinner was prepared. A book was read during dinner. While he was being washed, he could not study, but while drying, he listened to something or dictated. When he went away, he had his notary, who annotated everything, that my uncle dictated. For always to work he held necessary.
