Ok, so last night I went to bed around 11:30. At around 4:00 am I was awaked by somebody at my window. And just so you know, I’m a 22 year old chick that lives by myself. So I got up to investigate. It was some douche bag trying to break in! I don’t own a gun (I plan on getting one, even before this happened.) I do however have a dog, she is a pit bull. So I grabbed my cell phone and called the cops. At this point I’m freaking the fuck out! My dog is going crazy but is not barking just growling. I started to think what I could do to keep him out of my house and decided to go to the front door to at least scare him away (I know stupid idea). Well the dog charged out the front door, and grabbed this mother fucker by the arm and dragged him to the ground. This whole time I’m still on the phone with the 911 operator, who is telling me not to let the dog out. About this time the cops show up. I grabbed my dog and put her in the house and the cops hand cuff the douche bag. The dude is screaming and saying he is going to sue me because the dog bite! The cops started laughing at him and told him not to break in to people’s houses and this won’t happen. The cops even asked if my dog is ok. Then the cops told the dude he was lucky I didn’t kill him because in the state of Florida there is a law called the castle doctrine. It basically means that if somebody is on your property and you feel your life is threatened, you can use deadly force. The cops carted him off to jail and I went back inside to calm the dog down. Of course I couldn’t go back to sleep so I stayed up with my dog till it was time to go to work. Apparently the douche needed about 100 stitches. Damn, I love my dog. Oh, and did I mention she is blind? Yeah completely blind from diabetes (she is 11 year old). Not so useless after all…
