If you go to countries like Israel and Iran and any other country that is devoted to some kind of cause, just about every citizen in that country supports their country and trusts their leader; no matter how bad he is. They always support their leader/prime minister/president, or whatever he is.

Then you go to America, where Bush's approval rating is less than 30%. Very few people support him or the troops. The only time Americans actually support the troops is when their own child goes into the military.

Other than that, most of us Americans don't even seem to care. We don't seem to get involved in our country's issues in terms of contributing to our country while we keep sending soldiers into Iraq and to help Israel. Noone seems to care.

In Israel, every citizen joins the army at age 18. Not only that, many of them probably would have joined anyways. My point is that they all support their country and help it no matter what.

The point I'm trying to bring across is: How many Americans can actually say that they've helped their country in one way or another?

I think we are too skeptical. All most of us do is sit on our asses all day and criticize every little flaw our government has. When's the last time you did something to try to take something bad and make it better. That's why so many of us are fat. We don't do anything.

I don't think we care about our country much at all. We don't care that there are soldiers in Iraq dying everyday. We don't care that we spend $8 million in Iraq everyday. We know we are not in Jeopardy, so we can just relax and do whatever we want. Maybe after 332 years in existance, it's just gotten old.

We care more about what's going on with Britney and Mary-Kate Olsen, than what's going on in the war. And if we did care, all most of us would do is criticize it anyway and not believe that anything we can do can make a difference, so we don't even try.

Did you know that if the congress gets at least 3 letters on one specific issue, they have to discuss it at their next meeting. If you still don't believe that we criticize our government, let me share a joke that I uploaded a few days ago: If pro is the opposited of con, what's the opposite of progress?

So there you go. I want to end this by saying thanks for viewing this and a call to action: Support your country. Stop focusing on the negatives and think about the positive aspects of the country you live in.
