Dennis Rader, the BTK killer who killed 10 people between 1974 and 1991, fishing with his clueless daughter. One of his victims was an 11 year old girl – he hanged her and masturbated as she died. He wouldn’t look at the photos in court. -

Recreation of the largest sacrifice of infants in history (227 children sacrificed in the Chimu culture, Peru). The children, between 4 and 14 years old, along with 200 young llamas were killed according to an offering ritual to the gods of the Chimu civilization to appease their anger, believing that this was the cause of natural disasters linked to the climatic phenomenon of El Niño. -

Civil rights activist James Meredith, who defied segregation to become the first African-American student enrolled at the University of Mississippi, pulls himself across Highway 51 after being shot in Hernando, Mississippi, June 6, 1966. On the second day of his self-described “walk against fear,” a handful of reporters, photographers and law enforcement officials awaited his arrival in the late afternoon heat near Hernando, Mississippi. Jack Thornell, a 26-year-old cub photographer for the Associated Press in New Orleans, was sitting in a parked car along with a colleague from arch-rival United Press International, waiting for a Life photographer to bring them Cokes, when Meredith and a few followers came into view. All of a sudden, a man started shouting, “I just want James Meredith!” Shotgun blasts rang out across the highway, striking Meredith in the head, neck, back and legs. Thornell jumped out of the vehicle and started clicking away, taking two rolls of pictures with his pair of cameras. He then drove back to Memphis in a panic, convinced he would be fired for failing to photograph both the assailant and the victim. Meanwhile, minutes passed before an ambulance reached Meredith, who lay in the road alone. “Isn’t anyone going to help me?” he remembers shouting. -

Senator Robert Kennedy sprawled semiconscious on the floor after being shot in the brain & neck by Sirhan Sirhan, while busboy Juan Romero tries to comfort him. 1968. “I kneeled down to him and I could see his lips moving, so I put my ear next to his lips and I heard him say, ‘Is everybody OK?’ I said, ‘Yes, everybody’s OK.’ I put my hand between the cold concrete and his head just to make him comfortable.” “I could feel a steady stream of blood coming through my fingers,” Romero says. “I remember I had a rosary in my shisrt pocket and I took it out, thinking that he would need it a lot more than me. I wrapped it around his right hand and then they wheeled him away.” -

Police arrived on the scene just minutes after Melora Rivera’s frantic call as she hid beneath an eave of the roof. An area blogger snapped a photo just as the intruder, later ID’d by police as 29-year-old Christian Hicks, lurched onto the roof behind her. -

US marines stood behind a group of Vietnamese villagers, who were forced to walk on a field as “living mines detectors”, near Da Nang, Mar 1966. Earlier in the patrol I was horrified to see the Marine patrol commander round up old men and women and make them walk in front of the two tanks as human mine detectors across a section of rough country. When I asked about this, the patrol leader told me he had lost his best corporal a week before, when he stepped on a booby trap in that area. He said the villagers knew where the mines were and would cluster around and not move when they approached one. -

Barry, the Dog – called “The Monster from KZ Treblinka” The Worst Dog of all Times. Barry was the Dog of the KZ Commander Kurt Franz in the Extermination Death Camp of Treblinka. He was a Mix, but mostly a Bernhardiner Dog (St. Bernhard Dog). He’s known for at least killing 40+ Prisoners. He was known for his extreme Brutality, killing Prisoners when getting the Order “Mensch! Fass den Hund!”, which meant “Human! Bite the Dog!”. ‘Human’ did refer to the dog and ‘dog’ on the other hand did refer to the Human, the Prisoner in the KZ. Barry did only attack Prisoners when they were wearing the Prison-Clothes, he did not attack People in Civilian Clothes. He was a Subject in the Treblinka-Process after the War, the Law searched for him as only Dog in History, but they didn’t find him. He died in 1947 because of old age. -

The perfectly preserved body of Vladimir Lenin, former leader of the Soviet Union, who was “mummified” after his death in 1924. Vladimir Lenin was preserved by two chemists, Vladimir Vorobyov and Boris Zbarsky using a chemical mixture that is still not completely known. Today, what is coined the “Lenin Lab,” a group of scientists regularly perform inspections and temperature checks. This embalming technique was also used on former North Korean dictators Kim Il-sung and Kim-Jong-il. Lenin’s body is currently on display in a mausoleum on Red Square in Moscow. -

Kurt Cobain’s Suicide Letter. To Boddah Speaking from the tongue of an experienced simpleton who obviously would rather be an emasculated, infantile complain-ee. This note should be pretty easy to understand. All the warnings from the punk rock 101 courses over the years, since my first introduction to the, shall we say, ethics involved with independence and the embracement of your community has proven to be very true. I haven’t felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music along with reading and writing for too many years now. I feel guity beyond words about these things. For example when we’re back stage and the lights go out and the manic roar of the crowds begins., it doesn’t affect me the way in which it did for Freddie Mercury, who seemed to love, relish in the the love and adoration from the crowd which is something I totally admire and envy. The fact is, I can’t fool you, any one of you. It simply isn’t fair to you or me. The worst crime I can think of would be to rip people off by faking it and pretending as if I’m having 100% fun. Sometimes I feel as if I should have a punch-in time clock before I walk out on stage. I’ve tried everything within my power to appreciate it (and I do,God, believe me I do, but it’s not enough). I appreciate the fact that I and we have affected and entertained a lot of people. It must be one of those narcissists who only appreciate things when they’re gone. I’m too sensitive. I need to be slightly numb in order to regain the enthusiasms I once had as a child. On our last 3 tours, I’ve had a much better appreciation for all the people I’ve known personally, and as fans of our music, but I still can’t get over the frustration, the guilt and empathy I have for everyone. There’s good in all of us and I think I simply love people too much, so much that it makes me feel too fucking sad. The sad little, sensitive, unappreciative, Pisces, Jesus man. Why don’t you just enjoy it? I don’t know! I have a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy and a daughter who reminds me too much of what i used to be, full of love and joy, kissing every person she meets because everyone is good and will do her no harm. And that terrifies me to the point to where I can barely function. I can’t stand the thought of Frances becoming the miserable, self-destructive, death rocker that I’ve become. I have it good, very good, and I’m grateful, but since the age of seven, I’ve become hateful towards all humans in general. Only because it seems so easy for people to get along that have empathy. Only because I love and feel sorry for people too much I guess. Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away. Peace, love, empathy. Kurt Cobain Frances and Courtney, I’ll be at your alter. Please keep going Courtney, for Frances. For her life, which will be so much happier without me. I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!
