16 Dirty Jokes in Kids Movies That Went Over Our Young Heads
Just because a movie or TV show is for kids, doesn't mean that the parents who brought those kids to the theater shouldn't have a good time too! A good children's movie can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and part of making that happen means including a few dirty jokes that the parents will understand, but will go right over the heads of a younger audience.
Everyone remembers watching their favorite childhood movie over again as an adult and gasping at the references they missed the first time. If you haven't seen any of the Shrek movies since turning 18, I suggest you give them a watch for a completely new experience. For example, Lord Farquaad isn't just a short and evil ruler compensating for something with his castle, but a bonafide creep using his magical mirror to stalk the women in Far Far Away. He even gets aroused, earning him a dirty look from his mirror.
Perhaps one of the most shared adult jokes in a kids movie comes from Pixar's Cars. Cars is full of easter eggs and double entendres, and Lighting McQueen gets the full sports star experience when two young sports cars flash him their lights. And no, I don't think it's because it was dark outside.
