Animals will pretty much eat anything and everything they can get a hold of. Humans, on the other hand, have got to be the pickiest eaters on the planet.
And that goes for everything in our lives. What music we can stand to listen to, what hobbies we're interested in. We're so picky. Thanks to AskReddit we've compiled a list of acquired tastes that people have either refused or flat-out couldn't bring themselves to acquire.
What do heavy metal, sparkling water, cigarettes, and anime all have in common? They're all very specific acquired tastes, of course. Sit back and see if yours made the list.

Black coffee. I tried to be a cool coffee guy when I was like 18 and forced myself through black coffee a few times. I gave up on it and realized how much better a little milk and sugar makes it. Edit: I've tried French press, pour over, drip, light roasts, dark roasts, cheap beans, expensive beans. Turns out I just prefer it with milk and sugar. -mooimafish33 -

Licorice seems to be almost as big a thing as chocolate with so many varieties and styles. My only problem with it is that it taste like absolute garbage in my mouth.
