We, as a society, will need to make a concerted effort to become more accustomed to cringe. Because cringe, it would seem, is here to stay.

If anything, the feeling of embarrassment embarrassment is primed to grow exponentially as we become increasingly capable of both insulating ourselves from the people and challenges that might make us less cringe-inducing, as well as more and more capable of broadcasting cringe on a larger scale.

That really only leaves us with one option; sit back in our remote hermitages and play the lute while all the world is consumed in fiery cringe.
