We all have that one actor or actress who we just love to hate, no matter what their role is. It may be for glaringly obvious reasons due to things they have said or done, or perhaps it may be because of an encounter with them that was a harsh dose of reality.
Being in the spotlight definitely tends to multiply a person's actions, but at the end of the day, we are all responsible for our own behavior. So check out this list of actors that people secretly (or not so secretly) love to hate. -

I worked in production for many years. The absolute biggest nightmare I had to deal with was Ty Pennington. He exists in a universe that gravitates solely around him, and every other NPC around is just there for his service. His behavior on Extreme Makeover, when the cameras weren't rolling, was astoundingly juvenile and inconsiderate. They hired a crew just to walk behind him and clean up the mess he drops all over the place. Absolute dunce.. -u/thegreatinsulto -
3.
Gwyneth Paltrow. No matter how well she acts, the illusion is broken because of how terrible a person she is. -u/ehmiu -
4.
Jared Leto. Pretentious, egotistical maniac on a power trip. Stopped music at a concert one time getting mad because a guy wouldn’t stand up to cheer. Turns out he (the guy) couldn’t because he was in a wheelchair. -u/SolitaryTrailblazer -

What’s his name, that old dude looks like a door??? Steven Seagal -u/cocobellahom -
6.
James Corden if you can even call him an actor anymore. -u/YaBoiChickenNuggetz -
7.
Bella Thorne -u/Dailydrinker -
8.
John Travolta and his weird scientology views. -u/Alert-Appearance-362 -

For a wide variety of reasons, including being horrible to her staff... Ellen -u/BoyFromTheBlue -
10.
Lena Dunham -u/9696wida -

I didn’t see Woody Allen? I cannot stand him or any of his movies. It all creeps me out. -u/cmeth43 -
12.
The Kardashians -Dragonsbreath68 -
13.
Cara Delevingne. Just can't get past the nepotism. -u/PaulBlartFleshMall -

Marky Mark. I'm sick of him squinting his way through blockbusters. On one hand, I want the lame burger restaurant chain his family runs to succeed so he disappears from the movies. On the other hand, I'm glad his felonies cost them their liquor license. No Expungement for you, Squinto! -u/Complete_Entry -

I'm suprised no one's said Miles Teller. Dude seems very entitled with no talent to back it up. His infamous interview in 2015 was really really bad. He's like the opposite of the relatable celebrity who has tried to stop fame from getting to their head. -u/justDapperDan -
16.
It's Emma Roberts for me, I just stopped watching anything that features her. -u/sachiko468 -
17.
Chrissy Teigan. Is she an actress? I don’t even know but she annoys me. -u/Impossible_Sky_4811 -
18.
Jaden Smith. He was an ok child actor in karate kid and the pursuit of happiness, but then he aged and became the embodiment of “I’m 14 and this is deep” his tweets literally sparked a cringe subreddit. So yeah, not a terrible dude but he’s kind of pretentious when he meets people. -u/sushimcgoofy -

I don't really know how to elaborate further, but I can't freaking stand Megan Fox. -u/_SamaritaN1 -
20.
Kevin Hart. The dude just isn't funny to me whatsoever. I know loads of people love the guy. And that's fine. I just don't see the appeal. -u/Brokid81 -
21.
Dwayne Johnson was great voicing Maui, though. You're welcome. -u/jtig5 -
22.
Demi Lovato. Her old shows were incredibly embarrassing to watch. I was like 12 and even as an awkward preteen, I could see how cringey her scenes were. -u/yan_yanns -
23.
Rob Schneider - can't stand the guy and never found him funny. -u/RoachIsCrying -
24.
Russel Brand. I just don't like the character he chooses to play in every movie. -u/crankit211 -
25.
Jonah Hill - but only because he was a complete a******e to me when I met him. And no, I didn’t go up to him, I work in customer service. I wanted to like him too, so it was disappointing. Some of my favorite movies have him in it, so they’re kind of hard to watch now. It’s true what they say, Don’t meet your “hero/celebrities” -u/AndPuff -
26.
Tom Cruise, Scientology is amessed up criminal cult and his association with them makes him unbearable. There are unfortunately other celebrities in his position, but he’s the one that stands out to me. -u/Nauticalbob
