These creators had a lot of talent, but zero taste.

Some people work REALLY, REALLY hard to create things that are objectively hideous. But as ugly as they are, you've gotta give credit where it's due - these things are seriously well-made. I'm not sure why you'd want to waste your talents as a craftsman on stuff like this, but to each their own I suppose.
