This was within the first few weeks of the car accident I had 8 years ago. Wasn't drunk, fell asleep driving a long way early in the morning. The black is a bag type thing they put over your leg with a suction to suck up blood. Oh yeah -
2.
Miraculously only the top of my leg was burned before I was rescued. -

This is one of the grafting sites. Science is amazing! In case you've never seen it, they cut off a thin layer of your skin with some machine and it puts holes in the skin so that it can stretch. And luckily the graft took! -
4.
My knee was gone. There was a crater where it should be and they were going to amputate. Somehow they were able to take one of the two muscles in my calf and flap it over my knee. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to walk. -
5.
Unfortunately the skin is very tight, and slight abrasions cause it to bleed easily. -

This is a cut on my shin that has never healed, still bleeds and hurts to this day, and because its like having a papercut in between the base and tip of your finger, and because of how tight the skin is, whenever I walk it opens the cut up. I've tried everything, the only solution apparently is having a muscle taken from my back and I've been through enough surgeries. So I deal with it and get self conscious but I just don't wear shorts so it's all good. -

This isn't a picture of my leg, but I had one of these in my leg because not only was it burnt it was broken -
8.
In addition to breaking and burning my leg, I broke my jaw, ribs, arm, pelvis, had MRSA multiple times, had to be induced into a coma for weeks, and interestingly the thing that seriously almost killed me was smoke inhalation. Thanks for reading
