It was just lying there. Sure, it was a little rugged, a little worn. But in a nice, well traveled way. Like some distinguished gentleman had simply tired of his coat, placed it gently on the NYC sidewalk for the next traveler, and promptly peed on it. But one good wash should get that out, if we're being real. Seriously, it was a good coat.
