Bellboys used to carry baggage until wheels got attached to suitcases and other, that was their biggest choir. While they have less chores they are the ones that can get you stuff you need much like the concierge but without waiting till he's done with the fatcats. -

If you got your room with a discount or won it prepare to be treated with less attention, the staff knows you got less money so less tips. They also have only twenty minutes to clean your room so avoid the glasses, plates and knives that are in the room as they can be overlooked easily and dirty. Also among biggest tippers are Americans while Germans tend to tip a lot less.
