Gulchekhra Bobokulova, a 38-year-old nanny from Uzbekistan, said that Allah had told her to decapitate a four-year-old child that was in her care. Bobokulova is accused of murdering the girl before carrying her severed head outside Moscow Metro station. She claims she "took revenge against those who spilled blood" in Syria in a YouTube video uploaded immediately after the murder. "Putin spilled blood, planes carried out bombings. Why are Muslims being killed? They also want to live," Bobokulova said, speaking very matter-of-factly. The father of the murdered girl, named Nastya, says Bobokulova had never worked as a nanny before he hired her. He also said he did not recall her ever being devoutly religious and claimed his daughter was frightened by her. Prosecutors believe that the people who incited her to carry out the slaying are still at large.

Actress Eva Amurri Martino, daughter of Susan Sarandon, wrote about a bizarre incident involving her nanny for her blog, Happily Eva After. While she was traveling for work, her husband, Kyle, a retired soccer player and current host of "36 Hours" on the Travel Channel, received a bizarre text from the nanny. It read: "OMG. Girl did I mention to you how hot and (sexy) my Boss is. I would love to (sleep with him) ha haha. Too bad he seems not to like thick Latin women with lots to hold on to LOL." Martino expected a "sorry, that wasn't meant for you, I'm so embarrassed" text to follow. None came. He took the couple's daughter, 18-month-old Marlowe, to breakfast, and when he returned home, saw the nanny peeking out at the street from the couple's bedroom. Martino confronted the nanny while taping the conversation on his iPhone. When asked why she was in his bedroom, her explanation was, "I was looking for you." When confronted with the text message, she said, "I'm sorry I was just messing around with a friend, I didn't mean any harm." The damage was done. Martino let the nanny go, telling her, "It's not the type of environment I want in the house with you taking care of our daughter." Amurri Martino called her husband a "LEGEND" for his handling of the situation. Instead of hiring yet another nanny, the couple has decided to bring their daughter on and upcoming work trip.

In October 2012, a nanny killed two children she was caring for in their Manhattan home. Yoselyn Ortega, 53, tried to kill herself after stabbing six-year-old Lucia Krim and her little brother Leo, two. Mom Marina Krim found her lying next to the children, who had each been fatally stabbed multiple times, after having attempted to slit her throat. Ortega later told authorities that she hurt the children because of money problems and said she was angry at the parents for asking her to clean the house. She has pleaded not guilty, and an attorney says she has no memory of the attacks. A trial date has yet to be set.

Gloria Fields, 31, confessed to the torture and killing of 16-month-old Anthony Delgado after initially claiming the Staten Island toddler fell while playing in a park. The sadistic babysitter engaged in physical and sexual abuse that lasted two days, authorities said. Marta Delgado, 25, left her son with Fields to take care of details for her move into a new apartment, police said. Fields had nine previous arrests, including three in 2015 — two for petty larceny possession of stolen property, and one for driving without a license. Police also revealed the accused killer was schizophrenic and wanted on an active bench warrant.

In March 2015, a Connecticut mother was shocked to discover her 3-year-old daughter had been burned and beaten by her nanny. The girl's mom, who wishes to remain anonymous, reviewed the nanny cam footage of 31-year-old Lidia Quilligana "hitting my daughter, force-feeding her something and then pushing my daughter's hands on the stove burner to burn her," she said in a statement to police. Quilligana is also accused of abusing the girl's 1-year-old twin siblings. She has been charged with 23 counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of first-degree assault, all felonies. She has pleaded not guilty to all the charges and has been held on $1 million bond since her arrest.

A Chinese nanny has admitted to murdering and chopping up her employers—the devastated parents of a two-month-old baby who died in her care. Hui Zhang, 34, claimed she acted in self-defense when the parents of the dead infant allegedly attacked her and her boyfriend, Te Lu, with a butcher knife. The couple decided to offer the child's parents money in an attempt to silence them about the boy's death, but when the parents learned about it, a fight erupted. After they dismembered and disposed of the bodies, the couple closed their bank accounts in France and went to China, but came back to Paris and turned themselves in. Hui has been handed a 20-year jail term, but Te Lu was acquitted.

A nanny accused of stealing about $3,000 in property from a Texas family is under investigation in three additional cases. Rebecca Tautfest hired Burress after she did well in an interview. She claimed she was a God-fearing woman who didn't drink or smoke. Within a few weeks, however, Tautfest started noticing things were missing and contacted police. Officers arrested Burress on charges of theft and also discovered two former employers of the naughty nanny had accused Burress of stealing items from them. Burress, 67, was arrested and charged with theft in the Tautfest case. She was released on $5,000 bond, according to Collin County jail records. The other cases are still under investigation.

In 2014, Diane Stretton made international headlines when she refused to leave the home where she had been working as a nanny for about two months. Stretton, who had free room and board where she lived, worked for Marcel and Ralph Bracamonte. The Bracamonte's fired her, however, after she refused to do her job. Stretton said the family kept making her additional demands, and she quit, but she swore she wouldn't move until she was good and ready. The case went to court. Initially, the judge sided with Stretton, but after some intense legal wrangling, the nanny finally left. Her whereabouts are unknown.
