I think it goes without saying that most of us get angry when we get less food than is promised to us, am I right? Imagine sitting in line at the drive-thru, waiting for an entire bucket of heart attack-inducing deliciousness, only to roll up to the window and discover they only gave you HALF of the amount of greasy goodness you were expecting. That’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen…. Wait, is it a lawsuit waiting to happen? -

It is for Anna Wutzburger of Hopewell Junction, New York. The 64-year-old Fishkill Correction Facility retiree ordered $20 “Family Fill Up” bucket and when she got home she found that her family would definitely not be filled up at the end of the meal. “I came home and said, ‘Where’s the chicken?’ I thought I was going to have a couple of meals,” Wurtzburger explained. Now she’s hoping to flip her $20 into…. drumroll please….. $20 million. TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS. -

Wurtzburger went all the way to KFC’s Georgia headquarters to complain that what she got looked nothing like the advertisement (when does anything you ever order at a fast food restaurant look like the advertisement) and was told the chicken was portrayed above the bucket line “so that the public could see the chicken.” Wurtzburger was not havin’ that. “If you want the public to look at your chicken, put it in a dish,” she retorted. “It’s a lot of BS… I expect to get what you’re telling me.” Don’t we all Wurtzburger. Don’t we all. -

Wurtzburger then lawyered up, demanded KFC change its advertising and returned the two gift certificates the company sent her as a peace offering. Because at the end of the day, once you’ve been chicken-scorned, there’s no going back. “You know what commercial they should put on? You remember the movie, ‘Oliver?’” she said. “It was about the little boy growing up in the orphanages and he was hungry and he goes to the man, ‘Can I have some more?’” If that’s not the sickest burn of the century, I don’t know what is. Regardless, $20 million is still a lot of fucking money, and KFC called the lawsuit “meritless.”
