It’s a big, scary world out there, with things that crawl, creep and stare at you.

There’s just something about an old house that’s just innately creepy, especially if it’s old and falling apart. You never know what’s happened in there and what kinds of spirits are sticking around, such as this example of a decrepit and abandoned house in Detroit. This is from a YouTube channel of a real estate agent touring a neighbourhood. As you drive by, there’s a spirit or a spectre just chilling on the porch. -

From images that could be ghosts, to actual ghosts themselves. This CCTV video captures a poltergeist having some fun in a restaurant. That day, back in 2013 at Jimmy’s World Grill, a customer saw a plate fly off the table, and one they took a look at the tape, they saw more than that. The full video actually has moving furniture and menu’s moving, as well as the napkin and plate you see here. -

If I saw something like this, I’d never go into the woods again. This is a video from a dude named James Jones from Tennessee who was out scouting locations for an indie horror film he was making. Then he saw this figure, that looks like it’s wearing a Colonial uniform, just standing in the woods, watching. -

Still in the ‘scary woods’ vein, sometimes it’s not the supernatural, but the natural, that you need to worry about. These two guys were Elk hunting, when they noticed wolves darting between the trees. Then they started howling, which became closer, louder and more intense. -

Normally, if you’re out of the house, and you come home to find a plant’s been knocked over, you’re gonna blame your cats. In most cases, you wouldn’t be wrong, because that’s their thing… they’re shit disturbers. Except the plant in this case is a 9 pounder and the video clearly shows the cats weren’t anywhere near it. -

Sometimes the scariest thing out there is the devastation that can be caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, storms and even a hurricane. This video was shot by a producer for the Weather Channel, as he took shelter in a hotel during Hurricane Ike. It’s not so much the visual information you’re seeing in the gif above, but paired with the sound of the wind and rain, it’s a terrifying environment to be in. -

Here’s another one to make you worry about what’s out there waiting for you. There are plenty of videos out there about animal sounds/screams, but this one of a mountain line will make yo think someone evil is murdering someone more evil. -

Not all ghosts are overly violent and angry from the start, some are pretty playful. In this video from Australia, a photographer was in the basement of his gallery when he got an uneasy feeling and saw a box try to interact with him. As he filmed, the ghost became more and more playful, skilled and powerful. Then it became angry, breaking bulbs and starting to follow the photographer home and assault him. -

Another reason not to go outside, after dark, into nature is this gif. According to the uploader of the video, this is him shining a flashlight at eye level into the grass, and seeing all the eyeshine of the spiders in your front yard. -

Spiders aren’t the only thing with glowing eyes that are out there waiting for you. There’s also mythical monsters, such as, for example, Bigfoot. Scott Carpenter’s been uploading Bigfoot related videos to YouTube for close to a decade, and a lot of them are extremely vague, except for this one. There’s something out the in the woods, waiting and watching. Initially he only heard snapping twigs and rustling leaves, until he looked through the viewfinder and saw eyes staring back at him.
