The last couple editions of NBA 2K have given players fits with their unskippable advertisements. These are $60 games at launch, $70 for next-gen consoles, with ads akin to free mobile games.
Today, 2K fans got fed up and let the developers hear it.
EA pulled a similar move with UFC 4, but ended up removing the ads due to backlash. Players thought NBA 2K21 was doing the same, since the ads were added just a few days ago.
The basketball simulation is already filled with in-game in the stadiums and on billboards, so these additional ones seem excessively greedy.
Needless to say, players are getting ready to rage quit.
