Everyone was having a fine Wednesday afternoon until suddenly all of our phones were screeching — two minutes earlier than FEMA’s emergency alert system had scheduled.

All week people have been mentally prepping themselves for the emergency alert. But a large subsect of people were composing conspiracy theories as to what the alert was really for. 5G rays, alien invasion, zombie apocalypse, and mind control were all tossed around as ideas. When really all that happened was a couple of seconds of unpleasant sound.

But what we did get out of it were some brilliant memes about all the superpowers people got and what their particular alert said.
