When Ellie Jones came to her orthodontist to have braces at 14 she discovered that her jaw had stopped growing when she was eight. That was quite a shock for her. But thanks to her orthodontist Joy Hickman and surgeon Emma Woolley her face was completely transformed. -
2.
Ellie had her first surgery when she was 16 years old. After the operation she couldn’t talk at first. She used her notebook to communicate. She also was eating out of a syringe for about four to eight weeks and then was on a soft diet for four to six months because she couldn't bite down on food. -

A year later she had another surgery to change the shape of her chin. It wasn’t really necessary but Ellie didn’t like the way it looked. She said it was really painful for a year after the surgeries but her mother said “what’s a year compared to the rest of your life." -

Ellie is completely happy with herself now and feels more confident in everything she does. All that pain she went through was worth it and her smile is amazing now. -
