1.
This is Tshesatch , a small seaside village on Polish Baltic coast. -
2.
It's sort of a local tourist attraction, because of the ruins of 14th century church left standing on a 20 m 65 ft cliff. -
3.
Originally build almost 2 km 1.2 mile from the shore, in time almost completely destroyed by the encroaching sea. -
4.
By 1750 the cliff side was 50 m 164 ft from the church, by 1850 it was only 5 m 16 ft. This is how it looked in 1870. -
5.
The church was officially closed in 1874, after the sea swallowed a nearby cemetery some years before. -
6.
By the end of 19th century the roof has collapsed. -
7.
Year 1909, most of the northern wall is gone. -
8.
By 1926 half of the church is already gone. -
9.
Only one wall remained in 1950... -
10.
...and by 1970 it too started to crack and crumble. -
11.
By now only a part of the southern wall remain and the area off limits due to instability. -

The local government puts a lot of effort to preserve the remaining ruins as long as possible, but it's just a matter of time until it too will be destroyed. -

Thank you for your time.
