Cutting out initial hole.

This is the doggy door, humans need to find a way around.

Prior to cutting the whole in the wall, the only way to access this 'room' was a panel behind my kitchen pantry.

The dog will be fortified against any cat attack.

Is this too much? Would the dog do the same for his human friend? I don't see how without thumbs.
