When this man started this project he had no experience: "I did not have the skill set to build it when I started, had to learn as I went by trial and error. Not my design, I built it from a photograph on the back cover of a Fine Woodworking magazine, with the designers permission. His name is Randy Gengarilly."

After over 1000 hours invested this is the result. Over 1000 individual pieces of wood used in construction. Banana for scale.

"Made from Walnut, Walnut burl veneer, Ebony, Sapele trim, Maple burl columns and quilted maple window arches", the creator wrote.

"114 pieces of wood in the lid alone, half of them splines added for strength to hold on the Sapele trim."

Somewhere in there are two secret compartments! Will the wife find them? Can you guess where they are?

Even the lid is amazing.
