Start with a frame.

Decide where you want the entrance and include it while making the frame.

Cover up the part you want to be your new wall. Use high quality plywood.

A bit of a paint job and the wall is pretty much done. What you need is a secret passage door disguised as a shelf.

You can buy different kinds of secret compartment doors - there's stores that specialize in selling those.
