Reverend Matthew Makela is a married, father of five who compares homosexuality to alcoholism and is well known as an anti-gay pastor. Though the homophobic Reverend was recently exposed for soliciting men on Grindr, the hook-up app for ‘gay, bi and curious guys’. Of course, I absolutely support sexual freedom but when somebody spends their day job criticising and preaching against that very freedom, the hypocrisy of them doing it themselves cannot be ignored. The Midland, Michigan pastor has even taken to Facebook with his critical views on the wider LGBT community.
