As if a giant nuclear weapon reportedly capable of destroying an entire country in one enormous explosion wasn’t terrifying enough, Russia nicknamed their new weapon the “Satan 2.”

Back in May we found out that the Russian military was working on replacing their SS-18 weapons with even more powerful nukes. Thus over the past several years the Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau began developing the RS-28 Sarmat, aka the Satan 2. The Russians boast that it could wipe out an area the size of France, Texas or Great Britain. Who could it be? Who could wipe out life on planet Earth as we know it?

Or probably just Vladimir Putin. The builders of the most powerful nuclear weapon in human history released a press statement this week with updating the world on the missile they hope to have fully operational by 2018. Just in time for the Star Wars Han Solo movie to be released and Vladamir Putin will basically have his own Death Star capable of destroying entire countries.
