How about a TBT to the '80s. The best cereals, cartoons, and a lot of the best music. We'll let the crimped hair and hammer pants slide.

This is ziggie and he was a thing. I think it was a Hallmark thing, I just remember every teacher having a calendar with him on it. -
2.
This was coke gear. You could buy some stuff and get some stuff for free if you collected coke caps. We got a lot of free stuff because we liked Coke Classic (and yes, we did take the Pepsi Challenge). -
3.
This was the Pepsi challege because Pepsi wanted to be the better coke. Across the country, pop up test-taste stations appeared overnight, manned by teen who excitedly begged you to take the taste test challenge because Pepsi would win. It never did. -
4.
This was the kitchen in at least 50% of church nurseries, daycares, backyards, and playrooms -
5.
This was how we dressed (or how we tried to dress) -
6.
These were the walkie-talkies that made many of us feel super sleuthy. They also came in Heman, Smurfs, and a bunch of other characters -
7.
This was a fun way to spend a rainy morning. Colorforms came in every scene a kid (boy or girl) could want. They didn't stick to the walls or create a mess so parents were pretty happy -
8.
These were the pants many kids wore to school because back then, most school did not have dress codes so you could dress as weird and wild as you wanted. -
9.
This is the way girls always seemed to sign the notes they passed in class. If you didn't sign it like this you were NOT bffs and were probably exchanging mad notes. -
10.
This is how the 80s girl damaged her hair. This strange crimped look made you look like a lion who stuck its paw in an electric socket. I'm not sure why we wanted to waste so much time trying to get the perfect crimp (which never happened) -

This was something you really wanted but it couldn't be bought in stores. -

This was another (probably leftover for the '70s) toy -
14.
THIS replaced the previous toy -

This was a room of the 80s child. Note the bedSPREAD (not comforter) -

this is another of ziggie and his dog -

This is something everyone who lived during the '80s at any age is still trying to forget. -
