1.
Cleveland, Ohio - Ever since Lebron left things have not been the same. To be honest not many people find the idea of living in Cleveland as anything but depressing, and people are emigrating in droves. There are tons and tons of abandoned places -
2.
Detroit, MI - It is shocking to us that Detroit did not make the top spot on this list, but Cleveland somehow stole that honor. Instead the Motor City will have to settle for 2nd place in the Doomsday Sweepstakes. At least they're not bankrupt, right? -
3.
Buffalo, NY - As if the freezing Buffalo winter was not enough to keep potential citizens away, it turns out their economy might be even more repellent. The prospects are not looking good for this blue collar New York city. -
4.
Pittsburgh, PA - The Steel City seems to have lost some of its shine, as the rust has taken over and the jobs market has deserted the city. The decline of heavy manufacturing has hit the country hard, especially cities reliant upon it like Pitt. -
5.
Providence, RI - It is easy for most Americans to forget that Rhode Island is even one of the fifty states, so we can't blame them for not knowing Providence would be on this list. Even the tiny states have rapidly declining urban centers, however. -
6.
Rochester, NY - New York is pretty well represented on this list, which is definitely not a badge of honor. Rochester has been an abyss for jobs, and the growth is almost nonexistent. -
7.
Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee is known for its love of beer, but Milwaukee's Finest might be the only company bringing jobs to the city. That is a bit of an exaggeration, but .4 growth since 2011 is definitely a bad omen. -
8.
St. Louis, MO - The Midwest has certainly seen some woes due to the Recession and the slowly recovering economy, and St. Louis is not as bustling as its sports town reputation might suggest. Its .1 growth in population since 2011 is alarming. -
9.
Chicago, IL - The Windy City is known as one of the most important cities in the United States, but its population is fairly stagnant. Maybe the skyrocketing murder rate is scaring away potential dwellers. -
10.
New York, NY - How surprising is this, really? They've built so many buildings so close together that they have been building upward for years, and now it's finally packed to the brim. Does New York really need more people?
