The Great Pyramids are known world-wide as some of the most fantastic objects ever created by man. They are thousands of years old, and have withstood the test of time. Scientists still are not 100% sure how the Egyptians were able to construct the pyramids with the technology they had available to them at the time. -

One of the 7 ancient wonders of the world, the pyramids attract millions of tourists every year who want a chance to gaze upon something older than almost anything else they will ever see with their own eyes. Well a group of photographers and thrill seekers decided that they wanted to experience the pyramids from a vantage point that very few others alive have ever seen. The group waited for 4 hours after closing time to start making their ascent to the top. -

About half way up, the guards spotted them. They were too far gone for them to do anything about it though. -

“I can’t describe it in words … It was really unbelievable for me. It was absolutely amazing.” said 18 year-old Andrej Ciesielski. -

In total the pyramid is a 455 foot climb. They made it up about half way before the guards actually noticed them. -

This certainly looks like a view you might risk jail time for (up to 3 years in fact). Can you imagine being one of the few people in the world to have seen Cairo and the world from this vantage point. That would be pretty damn awesome. -

When the climbers did finally descend the pyramids which took about 20 minutes, they were taken into custody by the police. They originally wanted to turn them over to the German embassy. They eventually decided on letting the group go, but only after making them agree to delete all the video and photos they had taken. Unbeknownst to the police however, Andrej Ciesielski had a program that allowed him to recover deleted data. So the whole thing is still evidenced in photos and videos. Would you risk the punishment?
